This invention relates to a lubricating composition comprising a major amount of an oil of lubricating viscosity and (A) an antiwear improving amount of at least one molybdenum containing composition, and (B) at least one member selected from the group consisting of (i) at least one borated overbased metal salt of an acidic organic compound, provided that (A) and (Bi) are not the same, (ii) a combination of (a) at least one organic polysulfide or at least one ashless dithiocarbamate containing composition and (b) at least one component selected from the group consisting of a metal thiophosphate, a phosphoric acid ester or salt thereof, a phosphorous-containing carboxylic acid, ester, ether, or amide, a borated dispersant, an alkali metal borate, a borated fatty amine, a borated phospholipid, a borate ester, and mixtures thereof, and (iii) a combination of (i) and (ii).
La présente invention a trait à une composition lubrifiante comprenant une grande quantité d'huile convenant à la lubrification et (A) une quantité améliorant les caractéristiques antiusure d'au moins une composition renfermant du molybdène et (B) au moins un membre du groupe constitué (i) d'au moins un composé organique acide boraté sursalifié par un métal, pourvu que (A) et (Bi) ne soient pas identiques, (ii) une combinaison d'au moins (a) un polysulfure organique ou d'au moins une composition contenant du dithiocarbamate sans cendre et (b) au moins un composant du groupe : thiophosphate métallique, ester d'acide phosphorique ou sel en provenant, acide carboxylique contenant du phosphore, ester, éther ou amide, dispersant boraté, borate de métal alcalin, acide aminé gras, phospholipide boraté, ester borique et mélanges de ces derniers, et (iii) une combinaison de (i) et de (ii).
