- 18 - ABSTRACT A lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engines containing: (a) mineral lubricating base oil and/or synthetic lubricating base oil, (b) a specified amount of at least one alkyl molybdenum dithiophosphate having secondary type alkyl groups, and (c) a specified amount of at least one alkyl zinc dithiophosphate having primary type alkyl groups; and an additive of the lubricating oil containing the above components (b) and (c) for use in internal combustion engines.
