An internal combustion engine crankcase lubricating oil composition has a phosphorus content of not greater than 0.09 mass %, a metal detergent additive system comprising one or more metal salts of organic carboxylic acids, and a viscosity index improver comprising a linear diblock copolymer, one block being derived from a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon monomer and one block being derived from a diene monomer.

Une huile lubrifiante pour carter de moteur à combustion interne possède une teneur en phosphore d'au plus 0,09 % en masse, un additif détersif métallique comportant au moins un sel métallique d'acide carboxylique, et un améliorant d'indice de viscosité comportant un copolymère linéaire à deux blocs, un de ces blocs étant dérivé d'un monomère d'hydrocarbure aromatique vinylique et l'autre bloc étant dérivé d'un monomère diénique.
