A lubricating oil composition useful for a diesel-powered engine is provided that reduces NOx#191 emissions level produced from a diesel-powered engine. The lubricating oil comprises a base oil and at least one oil-dispersible source of HNCO such as isocyanates. A method of operating the diesel powered engine using the lubricating oil is also provided.
L'invention concerne une composition d'huile lubrifiante utilisable dans un moteur diesel, laquelle composition permet de réduire les émissions d'oxyde d'azote produites par un moteur diesel. L'huile lubrifiante comprend une huile de base et au moins une source de HNCO pouvant se disperser dans l'huile, telle que les isocyanates. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant de faire fonctionner le moteur diesel au moyen de cette huile lubrifiante.?¿
