Abstract of the Disclosure: Lubricating oil mixtures, having improved oxidation resistance, which contain as the essential constituent (in the form of a base oil). or consist of, cyclohexanes and/or decalins which are predominantly substituted by one, two or three alkyl radicals and hence have the formula Image , Image or Image where R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 are alkyl of 1 to 20 carbon atoms and more than 90% are unbranched and A is a cyclohexane or decalin ring.
