A succinimide dispersant, which is the reaction product of hydrocarbons or polymers functionalized by halogenation (e.g. chlorination), thermal "ene" reaction or free radical grafting and derivatized with a heavy polyamine. A heavy polyamine is a mixture of polyalkylenepolyamines comprising small amounts of lower polyamine oligomers such as tetraethylene pentamine and pentahexamine but primarily oligomers with 7 or more nitrogens, 2 or more primary amines per molecule, and more extensive branching than conventional polyamine mixtures.
L'invention se rapporte à un dispersant à base de succinimide, qui est le produit réactionnel d'hydrocarbures ou de polymères fonctionnalisés par halogénation (p. ex. chloruration), par réaction thermique "ène" ou greffage radicalaire et dérivé d'une polyamine lourde. Une polyamine lourde est un mélange de polyalkylènepolyamines comprenant de petites quantités d'oligomères de polyamines inférieures, telles que tétraéthylène pentamine et pentahexamine, mais principalement des oligomères présentant 7 atomes d'azote ou plus, 2 amines ou plus par molécule, et ayant une ramification plus étendue que les mélanges de polyamines conventionnels.
