An assay for the presence of luciferase in a biological sample offers heightened sensitivity, signal intensity and persistence. The assay is sensitive down to 50 fg luciferase. The biological sample is combined with essential ingredients luciferin, ADP, myokinase and Mg++. The myokinase converts ADP to ATP, necessary for the luciferase reaction, and AMP, which retards the reaction kinetics. The resulting assay exhibits a persistent glow emission which makes it adaptable to automation.

Le dosage de la luciférase permet de détecter la présence de la luciférase dans un échantillon biologique présentant une sensibilité, une intensité de signal et une persistance accrues. Le dosage est sensible à moins de 50 fg de luciférase. L'échantillon biologique est associé à des ingrédients essentiels, notamment la luciférine, ADP, la myokinase et Mg?++¿. La myokinase transforme ADP en ATP, celui-ci étant nécessaire à la réaction de la luciférase, et AMP qui retarde la cinétique de réaction. Le dosage résultant présente une émission de lueur persistante qui le rend propre à une automation.
