The Lug Nut Light is used to detect loose lug nuts on commercial vehicle wheels, so as to help the driver(providing he/she does a proper circle check) prevent tires from getting loose and coming off their mounts. The Lug Nut Light will come on when the lug nut that holds the tires in place starts to get loose by freeing a tiny switch that will allow electricity to flow from the small battery to the light, so when the driver does their circle check on a regular basis or when required the driver will be able to see in advance a loose lug nut, and tighten it or if more than one lug nut light is illuminated then the driver either gets the loose lug nuts tightened or looks into finding out why the Lug Nut Lights went on and remedies the problem before a bigger problem occurs.
