This device is provided for a luggage compartment designed to be placed overhead. The compartment comprises a mobile part (4) between an open position and a closed position and a mechanism for acting on said mobile part (4) to promote its closing. Said mobile part (4) presents an opening (14) designed for introducing and retrieving luggage as well as a lower exterior surface (12). The control device comprises detection means reacting when pressure is exerted on a predetermined zone of the lower exterior surface (12) of the mobile part (4) as well as for sending a control signal to the mechanism acting on the mobile part (4) to close the part when pressure is exerted on said detection means. The detection means are disposed at the lower exterior surface (12) of the mobile part (4).

L'invention concerne un compartiment à bagages conçu pour être positionné en hauteur. Ce compartiment comprend une partie mobile (4) pouvant occuper une position ouverte et une position fermée, et un mécanisme qui permet d'agir sur ladite partie mobile (4) pour assurer sa fermeture. Ladite partie mobile (4) présente une ouverture (14) conçue pour introduire et retirer des bagages ainsi qu'une surface extérieure inférieure (12). Le dispositif de commande comprend des moyens de détection qui réagissent lorsqu'une pression est exercée sur une zone prédéterminée de la surface extérieure inférieure (12) de la partie mobile (4) ; et qui permettent, lorsque la pression est exercée sur ceux-ci, d'envoyer un signal de commande au mécanisme agissant sur la partie mobile (4) pour fermer cette dernière. Lesdits moyens de détection sont disposés au niveau de la surface extérieure inférieure (12) de la partie mobile (4).
