ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An adjustable body support member to provide adjustable support in a chair, bed or the like. The body support member includes a spring with opposite ends connected to a guide member and to a connecting member respectively. The connecting member is adjustably mounted on the connecting member by adjustment means so that the spacing between the ends of the spring may be varied to give a variable support in the chair, bed or the like.
