A lumber-trimmer system for trimming lumber. This system includes a lumber-displacement surface, a saw assembly, and a conveyor assembly. The lumber-displacement surface includes an in-feed end and an out-feed end. The saw assembly is so positioned between the in-feed and out-feed ends as to trim the lumber on the lumber-displacement surface. The conveyor assembly is positioned above the lumber displacement surface and is configured to move the lumber along the displacement surface from the in-feed end towards the out-feed end via lumber-engaging members. When the conveyor assembly is in operation, the lumber-engaging members engage the lumber so as to displace it along the lumber-displacement surface from the in-feed end towards the saw assembly to trim the lumber and then to move the trimmed lumber towards said out-feed end.
