The invention provides isolated nucleic acids molecules, designated BBAP nucleic acid molecules, which encode proteins that interact with or bind to BAL molecules, which are differentially expressed in non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The invention also provides antisense nucleic acid molecules, host cells into which the expression vectors containing BBAP nucleic acid molecules, host cells into which the expression vectors have been introduced, and non-human transgenic animals in which a BBAP gene has been introduced or disrupted. The invention still further provides isolated BBAP proteins, fusion proteins, antigenic peptides and anti-BBAP antibodies. Diagnostic methods using compositions of the invention are also provided.

L'invention concerne des molécules d'acides nucléiques isolées, appelées molécules d'acides nucléiques BBAP, qui codent des protéines interagissant avec des molécules BAL ou se fixant à ces molécules, qui sont exprimées de manière différentielle dans le lymphome non hodgkinien. L'invention concerne également des molécules d'acides nucléiques antisens, des vecteurs d'expression recombinants contenant des molécules d'acides nucléiques BBAP, des cellules hôtes dans lesquelles lesdits vecteurs d'expression ont été introduits, ainsi que des animaux transgéniques non humains dans lesquels un gène BBAP a été introduit ou dissocié. Sont également décrites des méthodes diagnostiques faisant appel à des compositions obtenues selon l'invention.
