Saul Levinson Abstract of the Disclosure Dry compositions which are easily reconstituted with water to form oil-in-water emulsions for parenteral administration are provided. The compositions can be used for parenteral nutrition or to provide parenteral emulsion vehicles for the administration of oil-soluble, water-insoluble pharmaceutical agents. The compositions are made by lyophilization of a precursor emulsion. The dry products are more convenient to manufacture, store and use than the corresponding diluted emulsions.
