A MACHINE AND PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF PAPER Abstract of the Disclosure Gas in the form of fine bubbles is passed into the stock suspension in a mixing zone within the turbulence zone of the breast box before the suspension is passed through the breast box outlet. This prevents the gas bubbles from separating out of the suspension. The gas ducts are arranged at the smallest cross-section or at the entrance to a step- like widening of a suspension duct in the breast box. The gas may be pumped in or drawn in under the suction force of the suspension flow.
