Machine for automatically forming hard folders for bindery, comprising: - means (1) for individually feeding the folder's two mirror-sections (2) and central backbone (20) matched to the respective lining sheet (3) - means (4) for pressing each paired elements (2, 3) thus fed; - means (6, 6') for horizontally moving each pair (2, 3) thus pressed; - means (5) for beating the first and then the second trasverse rim (31, 32) projecting from the lining sheet (3) onto the trasverse edge of the corresponding cardboard mirror-section (2); - means (7, 8) for moving backwards the angular portion (33) of each trasverse rim (31, 32) being beaten and protruding out of the corresponding cardboard mirror-section (2); - means for beating the protruding longitudinal rims (34, 35) of the lining sheet (3) onto the corresponding sides of the cardboard mirror-sections (2) and backbone (20); - means (13) for pressing the said pair with the thus beaten rims of the lining sheet. Machine pour fabriquer automatiquement des chemises cartonnées à reliure comportant : un moyen (1) d'alimenter individuellement les deux cahiers-miroir (2) de la chemise et le dos central (20) en les assortissant à leur doublure (3) respective; un moyen (4) pour presser chacun des éléments jumelés (2, 3) alimentés; des moyens (6, 6') pour déplacer horizontalement chaque paire (2, 3) pressée; un moyen (5) pour battre le premier, puis le second bord transversal (31, 32) sortant de la doublure (3) sur la tranche transversale du cahier-miroir cartonné correspondant (2); des moyens (7, 8) pour faire reculer la partie angulaire (33) de chaque bord transversal (31, 32) passant au battage et sortant de chaque cahier-miroir cartonné correspondant (2); un moyen pour battre les bords saillants longitudinaux (34, 35) de la doublure (3) sur les côtés correspondants des cahiers-miroir cartonnés (2) et du dos central (20); un moyen (13) pour presser la paire en question avec les bords maintenant battus de la doublure.
