The invention concerns a machine (1) comprising: at least a brake coil (14), containing the wire (2) to be strung; at least a roller (13) for receiving, coiled about it, the wire (2) unwound by the coil (14) and for appropriately directing said wire (2) for stringing; and means (35) for displacing said roller (13) between a retracted position, wherein said roller (13) is located on the near side the plane defined by two consecutive supports (3), and a projecting position, wherein said roller is located beyond said plane.

Selon l'invention, cette machine (1) comprend au moins une bobine freinée (14), contenant le fil (2) à poser; au moins un galet (13) susceptible de recevoir, engagé autour de lui, le fil (2) dévidé par la bobine (14) et d'orienter ce fil (2) de manière adéquate en vue de la pose, et des moyens (35) permettant de déplacer ce galet (13) entre une position effacée, dans laquelle ce galet (13) est situé en deça du plan défini par deux supports (3) consécutifs, et une position sortie, dans laquelle ce galet (13) est situé au- delà de ce plan.
