The invention relates to a machine for cutting and folding a web of printed paper, comprising successively a cutting cylinder (5), a transfer cylinder (6), a folding cylinder (12) and a second-fold cylinder (16), each of the cylinders (6, 12, 16) consisting of two imbricated independent parts moveable relative to one another and equipped with a respective driving gear. According to the invention, the driving gears (52, 57) of the two independent parts of the transfer cylinder (6), on the one hand, and the driving gears (66, 65) of the two independent parts of the folding cylinder (12), on the other hand, are connected to one another by means of a respective pair of gears (59, 58; 68, 67) coaxial relative to one another and interconnected by means of a disengageable coupling. The disengagement of this coupling makes it possible to vary the angular spacing between the pairs of elements of each relevant cylinder (6; 12), in order to modify the configuration of the machine for the purpose of obtaining either a second parallel fold or a delta fold. The invention is used in the sector of printing, especially offset book printing.

Cet appareil comprend, dans l'ordre, un cylindre de coupe (5), un cylindre de transfert (6), un cylindre de pliage (12) et un cylindre de second pliage (16), chacun des cylindres (6, 12, 16) étant constitué de deux parties indépendantes imbriquées, mobiles par rapport aux autres, et muni de sa propre roue menante. Selon cette invention, les roues menantes (52, 57) des deux parties indépendantes du cylindre de transfert (6), d'une part, et les roues menantes (66, 65) des deux parties indépendantes du cylindre de pliage (12), d'autre part, sont interreliées par une paire de roues (59, 58, 68, 67) coaxiales et jumelées au moyen d'un raccord débrayable. Le débrayage de ce raccord permet de changer l'écart angulaire entre les paires d'éléments de chaque cylindre (6, 12), en vue de modifier la configuration de la machine pour obtenir soit un second pliage parallèle soit un pliage en triangle. Cette invention est utilisée dans le secteur de l'imprimerie, particulièrement pour l'impression offset de livres.
