ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a machine for lifting stumps and snags from a bog, comprising a towable frame section and a rotating lifting drum for detaching stumps and snags lying in the bog, and provided in front of the lifting drum, as viewed in the direction of travel of the lifting machine, with a port screw conveyor for cleaning detached stumps and snags and transfer- ring them to one side of the frame section such that the stumps and snags are deposited in a continuous row parallel to and adjacent the path of the frame section.
