Abstract: Machine for manufacturing double-chamber bags filled with tea In a machine for manufacturing double-chamber bags filled with tea, tube pieces of the same size, each con- taining two portions of tea, are cut off from a continu- ously moving tube web, which tube pieces, by means of a continuously rotating transporting wheel 10, pass through various work stations in which first of all the bag bottom is formed and then the tube piece 15, folded in a W-shape by the bag bottom being pulled into the interior of the transporting wheel, is closed by folding the head to form a double-chamber bag, a cover 20 extending at the level of the peripheral plane of the transporting wheel 10, which cover 20, together with a pair 21, 22 of arms pivotably fixed to the transporting wheel, ensures accurate fixing and placing of the tube piece during the entire manufac- turing process, and at the same time the open ends of the tube piece are bound in such a way that the tea can at no time spread into the lobe 15c, 15d provided for forming the head fold (Fig. 2).
