ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus for the production of coil springs con- sists of a transportation device having a series of radial grab arms for holding coil springs with frontal claws. The grab arms are driven in such a way that the coil springs are led, one after another and in sequence, to a series of work stations, arranged one after another in the sense of rotation of the grab arms. One work station is a spring coiling station, another following work station is a spring glowing station. The two terminal coils of the coil spring are provided with several spaced bending points, nearly arranged in U-shape by a bending station after the spring coiling station. The first bending station is followed by a sec- ond bending station of the same kind for the opposite terminal coil of the coil spring After having passed the spring glowing station, the finished coil springs are aligned in a spring align- ment station and led to a spring assembly machine.
