The present invention relates to a machine for sep- arating aerosol particles us- ing a cylindrical ultrasonic chamber (35) in which the particles agglomerate in the presence of an injected nu- cleator and using a filter (14) which traps the agglomer- ated particles. The invention provides that the ultrasonic chamber is preceded by a mixing zone (25) in which a vaporous substance acting as nucleator is injected into the stream of aerosol parti- cles to form a mist, and that a cyclone separator (12, 36) receives the stream coming from the ultrasonic chamber (35) and deposits the sepa- rated heavy particles, deliv- ers a portion of the aerosol to the filter (14) and sends the remainder of the aerosol back to the mixing zone (25).
