A stamping and bending machine (10) has upper and lower horizontal supports (18, 16) in each of which are formed two longitudinal chambers (80) which open out through broad longitudinal slits (86) on opposite sides of the horizontal supports (16, 18). On both lateral faces of the horizontal supports (16, 18) carriage assemblies (26) are fixed; each of these carries an angular gear (36) which is encapsulated in a gear housing and protrudes through the longitudinal slit (86) into the appropriate longitudinal chamber (80). The angular gears (36) in each longitudinal chamber (80) are provided with coaxial through- channels with polygonal profiles. A drive shaft (28) with matching polygonal profiles is inserted through the angular gear (36) of each longitudinal channel (80) and couples the carriage assemblies (26) together. All the bearings of the gear teeth of the angular gear (36) and output shaft in the carriage assembly (26) are arranged in the modular unit formed by the carriage assembly (26) and angular gear (36). The drive shaft (28) is supported by the angular gear (36) and thus requires no bedding of its own in the horizontal supports (16, 18) of the machine housing (14).

L'invention concerne une machine à découper et à plier (10) qui présente des supports horizontaux supérieur et inférieur (18,16) dans chacun desquels sont logées deux chambres longitudinales (80) qui aboutissent aux côtés opposés des supports horizontaux (16,18) par de larges fentes longitudinales (86). Sur les deux faces latérales des supports horizontaux (16,18), sont fixés des systèmes à chariot (26) portant chacun un engrenage angulaire (36) encapsulé dans un carter d'engrenage, l'engrenage angulaire faisant saillie dans la chambre longitudinale (80) correspondante à travers la fente longitudinale (86). Les engrenages angulaires (36) de chaque chambre longitudinale (80) présentent des passages coaxiaux au contour polygonal.
