- 1 - ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus for manufacturing ice cubes which includes a plurality of inverted receptacles on a special evaporator, arranged in a horizontal position, of a refrigeration circuit. The ice receptacles are sprayed with water by at least one rotationally movable spray pipe with openings arranged below the evaporator. Planar guide panels are arranged between the evaporator and the sprayer with slots in the panels for the water to be sprayed through. A recirculating system catches the excess sprayed water and resprays it. The ice cubes are caught in a bin below the guide panels. Part of the water feed is directed through a time delayed electrovalve and holding tank vessel having a condensing coil of the refrigerating cir- cuit therein. As the electrovalve opens, the heated water enters a cavity built around the evaporator and receptacles loosening the cubes to drop. The vessel serves also to reduce the size of the refrigerating circuit standard condensor.
