A method for managing work progress of separate work jobs in a machine shop having a plurality of separate machining operations comprises applying to a work order document a row of coloured labels with each coloured associated with a respective one of the machining operations. The operator of an operation can therefore readily select jobs that require that operation by simple visual observation. Once that operation is effected, the label is removedand available for the next operation which is readily apparent due to the coloured label. The selection of the colours associated with the various operations is effected so that ready recollection is available due to associatedby alliteration.
Cette invention concerne une méthode d'ordonnancement des travaux d'usinage comportant une série d'opérations distinctes. La méthode consiste à appliquer sur le bordereau de travail une série d'étiquettes couleur, chaque couleur représentant un type d'opération particulier. L'ouvrier peut ainsi repérer aisément d'un simple coup d'oeil toutes les pièces nécessitant la même opération d'usinage. Une fois cette opération exécutée, l'étiquette correspondante est enlevée et la pièce est prête à passer à l'étape suivante dont la nature peut être aisément déterminée grâce aux étiquettes couleur restantes. La sélection des couleurs vise à faciliter la mémorisation des différentes opérations par allitération.
