The invention relates to a machine for fixing wheels on vehicles. The inventive machine can be used to mount and fix wheels on vehicles in a fully- automated manner along the assembly line without the aid of operators. The invention comprises a wheel-supply bed (1) which is equipped with a positioning element (23) for centring and lifting each wheel such that it can be gripped by a support arm (2) and conveyed to a rotating plate (3) which is linked to a screw-supply device (4) which inserts screws into the rim with the aid of an optical detector. The support arm (6) of an adjacent moving bed (5) contains a multiple screwdriver (7) which is placed in the screws. The assembly is subsequently tilted by 90~ so as to position the wheel opposite the hub of the vehicle and finally to insert said wheel.

L'invention a pour objet une machine de serrage de roues sur des véhicules. La machine selon l'invention permet de monter et de serrer simultanément des roues sur des véhicules sur la chaîne de montage, de manière entièrement automatisée, sans l'intervention d'opérateurs. L'invention comprend un banc d'alimentation des roues (1), équipé d'un élément de positionnement (23) qui centre la roue et la soulève de sorte qu'elle puisse être retenue par un bras de support (2) qui l'achemine jusqu'à une plaque rotative (3) reliée à un chargeur de vis (4) qui les positionne dans la jante à l'aide d'un détecteur optique. Le bras de support (6) de banc mobile (5) est équipé d'un tournevis multiple (7) qui est placé dans les vis, ledit bras de support bascule ensuite à 90° de manière à présenter la roue devant le moyeu du véhicule et à finalement introduire la roue.
