ABSTRACT A system for the automatic repetitive transfer of rough workpieces from a conveyor to the machining position in a machine tool and the transfer of finished workpieces from the machining position to the conveyor. The system includes a put-and-take module which has a linkage system defining a parallelogram having a pair of spaced levers pivotally mounted on a fixed member and a cross member pivotally supported by and maintaining the levers in parallel relation- ship to support a workpiece parallel to the machine position. A servomotor is connected to the linkage system for rotating the levers.
