The invention relates to a machine tool for sucking chips produced during processing a work and continuously removing them by air suction. It comprises a cutting tool subassembly (200) having an air vent (s1) and a spindle head (100) having an air suction (s2) that communicates with the air vent (s1). When the cutting tool subassembly (200) is installed in the spindle (100), the downstream end of the air vent (s1) faces close to the upstream end of the air suction (s2) at an inclination (.theta.) of about less than 60 degrees. A retractable cylindrical means (201) is provided between the downstream end and the upstream end to retreat or extend at least one of the ends. Besides, the retractable cylindrical means (201) is retreated by means of a spring (205) to separate the downstream end from the upstream end, while its is free.
