Abstract of the Disclosure This invention relates to a tool turret slide carriage for a machine tool of the type having a rotatable support for the material to be worked upon and a slide upon which is mounted a carriage which is movable toward and away from the work. The slide carriage has a plurality of tool supports which may be indexed to position one tool at a time for operation on the work. The tool turret is mounted in such a way on the carriage that it may be indexed with torsional stiff- ness and yet provide flexibility in the axial direction allowed the spindle sleeve to be fed out hydraulically to an adjustable slot.
