The present invention relates to a machining center having an associated pallet storage and handling system, wherein the machining system is separated from the pallet storage by a travel path on which the pallet handing device can be displaced for handling the pallets, wherein the route can be bridged by means of a part serving as a platform in order to enable access to the machining center.
