The present invention provides a compound of formula (I), wherein R1 and R2 are the same or different and are independently H, C1-C6 straight-chain or branched-chain saturated or unsaturated alkyl, aryl, R6CH2-, R6CO-, or R6SO2-, wherein R6 is H, C1-C6 straight-chain or branched-chain saturated or unsaturated alkyl, or aryl; R3 is H, C1-C6 straight-chain or branched-chain saturated alkyl, aryl, an oxime, or an oxime methyl ether; at least one aromatic ring position is optionally substituted with a substituent selected from the group consisting of halo, nitro, amino, hydroxyl, thio, acyl, C1-C6 alkyl, and cyano; and Z is a contiguous linker comprising a chain of 7-10 atoms (including heteroatoms) which atoms, together with the five atoms beginning with the carbon of the aromatic ring in meta-relationship with OR1 and ending with the carbon directly attached to the alkyl oxygen of the lactone, which carbons are covalently bonded to either end of linker Z, integrally form a 12-15 membered ring; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, an ester, or a prodrug thereof. The present invention further provides a pharmaceutical composition, and a method of preventing or treating cancer, using at least one compound of the present invention, optionally in conjunction with an additional compound other than a compound of the present invention.
La présente invention se rapporte à un composé représenté par la formule (I) dans laquelle R?1¿ et R?2¿ sont identiques ou différents et sont indépendamment H, alkyle C¿1?-C¿6? saturé ou insaturé et à chaîne linéaire ou ramifiée, aryle, R?6¿CH¿2?-, R?6¿CO-, ou R?6¿SO¿2?-, où R?6¿ est H, alkyle C¿1?-C¿6? saturé ou insaturé et à chaîne linéaire ou ramifiée, ou aryle; R?3¿ est H, alkyle C¿1?-C¿6? saturé ou insaturé et à chaîne linéaire ou ramifiée, aryle, un oxime, ou un éther méthylique d'oxime; une position au moins du noyau aromatique est éventuellement substituée par un substituant sélectionné dans l'ensemble constitué de groupes halo, nitro, amino, hydroxyle, thio, acyle, alkyle C¿1?-C¿6? et cyano; et Z est un bras contigu comportant une chaîne de 7 à 10 atomes (y compris d'hétéroatomes) qui, conjointement aux cinq atomes commençant au carbone du noyau aromatique dans la méta-relation avec OR?1¿ et se terminant avec le carbone directement lié à l'oxygène de l'alkyle de la lactone, lesdits atomes étant liés par covalence à l'une ou l'autre des extrémités du bras Z, forment intégralement unnoyau comportant de 12 à 15 éléments. La présente invention se rapporte également à une composition pharmaceutique, à une méthode de prévention ou de traitement du cancer, qui font usage d'au moins un composé décrit ci-dessus, éventuellement associé à un composé supplémentaire différent du composé de cette invention.
