The invention provides novel macromolecules, methods for their preparation, pharmaceutical formulations thereof and their use as anti-influenza agents. The invention also provides a novel diagnostic method which can be used for detection of all types of influenza A and B virus. The macromolecular compound of the invention has attached to it one or more molecules (neuraminidase binders) which bind to the active site of influenza virus neuraminidase but which are not cleaved by the neuraminidase.
L'invention concerne de nouvelles macromolécules, des procédés permettant de les préparer, des formulations pharmaceutiques les contenant et leur utilisation comme agents antigrippaux. Elle concerne également une nouvelle méthode diagnostique qui peut être utilisée pour détecter tous les types de virus A et B de la grippe. Le composé macromoléculaire de l'invention porte une ou plusieurs molécules (agglutinants de la neuraminidase) qui se fixent sur le site actif de la neuraminidase des virus de la grippe, mais qui ne sont pas clivées par la neuraminidase.
