A macroporous composite for use as a bone reconstruction material and consisting of a combination of synthetic aragonite and at least one medicinal substance such as an antibiotic in particular, is disclosed. A method for making a composite by preparing a mixture including synthetic aragonite grains and at least one pore-forming agent, compacting the mixture and heating the resulting material to remove the pore-forming agent, at least one medicinal substance being added before or after the removal of the pore-forming agent, is also disclosed.
L'invention concerne un composite macroporeux utilisable en tant que matériau de reconstitution osseuse caractérisé en ce qu'il est constitué par l'association d'aragonite synthétique et d'au moins une substance médicamenteuse telle que notamment un antibiotique. L'invention concerne également un procédé d'élaboration d'un composite caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste à réaliser un mélange comprenant des grains d'aragonite synthétique et au moins un agent porogène, à compacter ledit mélange et à chauffer le produit obtenu de façon à éliminer ledit agent porogène, au moins une substance médicamenteuse étant incluse avant ou après ladite étape d'élimination dudit agent porogène.
