The present invention provides a resilient, three-dimensional, macroscopically expanded, fluid-pervious, plastic web suitable for use as a topsheet on absorbent articles, especially catamenial articles. The web includes a first layer (60) of polymeric material and a second layer (62) of fibrous material secured to the inner surface of the first layer of polymeric material. The fibrous material of the intermediate layer extends below the second surface (43) of the web, preferably into the absorbent core (24). In-use, fluid deposited on the topsheet drains or empties more readily as the fibrous material of the second layer breaks up the fluid meniscuses which form along the second surface of the web, thereby providing improved dryness and cleanliness for the user.
Bande de plastique tridimensionnelle, souple et perméable, à expansion macroscopique, utilisable comme couche supérieure d'articles absorbants spécialement à usage cataménial. La bande comporte une première couche (60) d'un polymère et une seconde couche (62) d'un matériau fibreux, fixée à la surface interne de la première couche de polymère. Le matériau fibreux de la couche intermédiaire s'étend sous la deuxième surface du composite (43), de préférence jusqu'à l'intérieur du noyau (24) absorbant. Lors de l'utilisation, le fluide déposé sur la couche supérieure est plus facilement drainé ou évacué, car le matériau fibreux de la seconde couche rompt les ménisques du fluide se formant sur la deuxième surface du composite, assurant par là une meilleure siccité et une meilleure propreté.
