Abstract Magnesium Based Hydrogen Storage Alloy Electrode This invention relates to a hydrogen storage alloy electrode prepared from an active material which comprises a magnesium based alloy and a Ni, P based metallic compound. The magnesium based alloy is coated with the Ni, P metallic compound. The hydrogen storage alloy electrode is possessed of good ability of absorbing - desorbing hydrogen even under normal temperature and normal pressure. The alkali battery assembled with the electrode prepared from the aforecited alloy material is provided with high energy density and charge - discharge capacity, can be applied to large scale electrical equipments, especially the electrically operated vehicles. -1-
