The present invention provides a multilayer structure including a substrate having formed on a surface thereof at least one period of individual layers, the period having at least two layers including a first layer which includes magnesium sili-cide (Mg2Si) and a second layer which includes at least one of tungsten, tantalum, cobalt, nickel, copper, iron, chromium, alloys, oxides, borides, suicides, and nitrides of these elements, silicon, carbon, silicon carbide, boron, and boron carbide. If the period includes three layers, the second layer includes one of silicon, carbon, silicon carbide, boron, and boron carbide and a third layer includes one of tungsten, tantalum, cobalt, nickel, copper, iron, chromium, and alloys, oxides, borides, silicides, and nitrides of these elements, the second layer being disposed between the first and the third layers. If the period includes four layers, a fourth layer includes one of silicon, carbon, silicon carbide, boron, and boron carbide, the third layer being disposed between the second and fourth layers, and the fourth layer being disposed between the third layer of multilayer period n and the first layer of multilay-er period n-1.

Cette invention concerne une structure multicouche comprenant un substrat comportant à sa surface au moins une période de couches individuelles, ladite période ayant au moins deux couches, à savoir une première couche qui contient du siliciure de magnésium (Mg2Si) et une seconde couche qui comprend au moins l'un des éléments suivants : tungstène, tantale, cobalt, nickel, cuivre, fer, chrome, des alliages, oxydes, borures, siliciures et nitrures de ces éléments, silicium, carbone, carbure de silicium, bore et carbure de bore. Si la période comprend trois couches, la deuxième couche comprend l'un des éléments suivants : silicium, carbone, carbure de silicium, bore et carbure de bore, et une troisième couche comprend l'un des éléments suivants : tungstène, tantale, cobalt, nickel, cuivre, fer, chrome et alliages, oxydes, borures, siliciures et nitrures de ces éléments, la seconde couche étant disposée entre la première couche et la troisième couche. Si la période comprend quatre couches, une quatrième couche comporte l'un des éléments suivants : silicium, carbone, carbure de silicium, bore et carbure de bore, la troisième couche étant disposée entre la deuxième couche et la quatrième couche et la quatrième couche étant disposée entre la troisième couche de la période multicouche n et la première couche de la période multicouche n-1.
