A magnet coupler (10) includes a first shaft (12) having a first axis (14). A second shaft (16) is separated from the first shaft, and the second shaft has a second axis (18) that is aligned with the first axis. A rotary magnet unit (20) is mounted to rotate about the first shaft. The rotary magnet unit includes an array of U-shaped permanent magnet assemblies (22) radially located at a first distance (R1) from the first shaft wherein each of permanent magnet assemblies has an opening that is oriented toward the second shaft. A rotary electroconductive unit (24) is mounted to rotate about the second shaft. The rotary electroconductive unit includes a U-shaped conductor assembly (26) radially located at a second distance (R2) from the second shaft which distance is less than the first distance for the purpose of increasing magnetic moment arm and hence increasing torque over levels achievable in comparable couplers.

Cette invention se rapporte à un coupleur magnétique (10) comprenant un premier arbre (12) ayant un premier (14). Un second arbre (16) est séparé du premier arbre et possède un second axe (18) aligné sur le premier axe. Une unité magnétique rotative (20) est monté en rotation autour du premier arbre.
