This change purse comprises two permanent magnets, each in the form of a small plate with a flat surface against which coins or tokens can be held magnetically. The flat magnets are hinged together at one end. In one model, additional permanent magnets in the form of narrow strips of opposite poles are used to keep the two flat sections in a closed position. The hinge has two flaps which cover the two flat magnets. In the second model, each flap forms a contour surrounding the flat magnet and its internal surface juts out from the flat surface of the magnet to close the sides of the change purse while maintaining a certain spacing between the two flat surfaces. A mechanical closure is used instead of a magnetic strip to keep the two flat magnets in a closed position.

Ce porte-monnaie comporte deux aimants permanents, chacun sous forme d'une plaquette ayant une surface plate contre laquelle des pièces de monnaie ou jetons peuvent être retenus par attraction magnétique. Les plaquettes sont pivotées l'une à l'autre au moyen d'une charnière.
