A magnetic coupling assembly (20) for selectively rotating rollers (22) of a roller conveyor (24) when the torque required to maintain this rotation does not exceed a predetermined threshold is described herein. The magnetic coupling is mounted to the side rail of a conveyor (26), below the conveyor rollers and include a driving portion (44) rotatably mounted to the side rail (26) and a driven portion (46) rotatably mounted to the driving portion. Corresponding friction surfaces (72) of the driving (44) and driven portion are brought and maintained in contact via a magnet (79) and an element (106) made of magnetic material or another magnet. Means for varying the distance (104) between the magnet and the element made of magnetic material are disclosed.
L'invention concerne un ensemble de couplage magnétique permettant de faire tourner sélectivement les rouleaux d'une bande transporteuse à rouleaux lorsque le couple requis pour maintenir la rotation ne dépasse pas un seuil prédéterminé. Le couplage magnétique est monté sur le rail latéral de la bande transporteuse, en-dessous des rouleaux de ladite bande transporteuse, et comprend une partie d'entraînement montée rotative sur le rail latéral et une partie entraînée montée rotative sur ladite partie d'entraînement. Les surfaces de friction correspondantes des parties d'entraînement et entraînée sont amenées et maintenues en contact via un aimant et un élément composé de matière magnétique ou via un autre aimant. L'invention concerne également des moyens permettant de faire varier la distance entre l'aimant et l'élément composé de matière magnétique. L'invention concerne enfin des moyens permettant de régler simultanément plusieurs ensembles de couplage et des moyens permettant de détecter la rotation des rouleaux de bande transporteuse.
