(U.S. 872,618) ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A floppy magnetic data storage disc is rotated within a stationary jacket by means of a rotatable clamp. The clamp is opened and closed in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the disc by means of a helical cam which cooperates with the cam follower attached to the clamping mechanism. The floppy disc, the clamping mechanism and a read/write head associated therewith is mounted beneath a keyboard os a serial impact printer.
