The present invention relates to a magnetic field generating apparatus for medical treatment with a timer which comprises a timer for setting a time of operation, and is configurated in a manner that displaying operation of the residual time by a numeric display 50 is changed-over blink- ing operation of predetermined numerals when a temperature sensor 54 disposed on a magnetic field generator 20 detects an unusual temperature, and the blinking operation by the numeric display 50 is changed-over to the displaying opera- tion of the residual time when the temperature sensor 54 detects clearance of the unusual temperature. An unusual temperature of the magnetic field generating apparatus for medical treatment can be informed to the user by this blink- ing operation, and therefore a special alarm component such as a conventional alarm buzzer or alarm lamp can be dispensed with, and thereby a reduction in the number of parts and a reduction in the cost can be realized.
