A magnetic hair wrap is used to hold hair in a fixed position. The wrap contains rare earth magnets that are sewn into opposite ends of a sheath of fabric of variable length and width. The apparatus wraps around the hair and is then secured via magnetic attraction. The apparatus is easily released without damaging or drastically altering the hairs original appearance by separating the magnets. The material used for the wrap i.e. the fabric and the magnets can be of different widths, lengths, weights or strengths to accommodate thin or thick or variable amounts of hair.
