A head suspension system for use in a photofinishing operation comprises a support (30) mounted for movement through an arc having a predetermined radius and a pair of magnetic head suspension assemblies (54, 56) each rotatably mounted on the movable sup- port (30). A spring (96) causes surfaces of the suspension assemblies to engage opposite edges of the film respectively. The entire system including the movable support (30) is mov- able through an arc to adjust for angular variations of the film while each head suspension assembly (54, 56) is rotatable relative to the movable support (30) to compensate for film width variations and film edge irregularities to insure constant orientation of the magnetic heads (92) with respect ot the film edges.
