ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A motorized conveyer pulley in which an electric motor is enclosed in a rotating cylinder having a cylindrical inner surface has permanently mounted on the inside surface a flexible sheet of magnetic material with sufficient surface to attract and retain ferrous particles for the anticipated life of the pulley. The drum contains a pool of oil (but is not filled with oil) and the flexible sheet is in direct contact with the oil, the oil having the ferrous particles introduced thereto in the course of operation of the drum.
