A portable magnetic pulser system for treatment of migraine headaches has an electrical power source for operating the overall system. Electronic circuitry within the system creates a high voltage for charging capacitors. The control circuitry charges the capacitor and then dumps the charge into a magnetic coil for creating an intense magnetic pulse onto the brain of a patient. The charging of the capacitors and discharge of the capacitors into the magnetic coil is controlled by an electrical switch which is operated by the patient with the maximum intensity of the magnetic pulse delivered into the brain of the patient being within the range of 0.05-5 Tesla.
