A magnetic puzzle and assembly surface, which is designed for recreation and requires ingenuity to solve. A magnetic puzzle and assembly surface is manufactured using a variety of materials. The materials must possess sufficient strength of magnetic attraction between the puzzle pieces and the assembly surface to ensure cohesion between the puzzle pieces and the assembly surface. The assembly surface may have any form and/or size. A magnetic puzzle has a multiplicity of individual, jigsaw cut interlocking or non-interlocking puzzle pieces. The individual puzzle pieces have a portion of a specified picture and/or pattern on one or both sides. A magnetic puzzle requires an assembly arrangement of the puzzle pieces on an assembly surface that may be in a vertical, angled, horizontal or inverted position while preserving the assembly arrangement of the puzzle pieces. The magnetic attraction between the puzzle pieces and the assembly surface preserves the specified picture and/or pattern in a specified form and/or size.
