A card-like magnetic recording medium comprising a layer containing a magnetic recording layer and laminated on at least part of a non-magnetic support, characterized in that a light reflection quantity regulating layer containing at least one of scaly metal powder and metal thin-film strips and a binding resin is provided on the magnetic recording layer, a bright coating layer containing bright particles is provided thereon, and the maximum reflectance of a diffuse reflection light by an incident light at a wavelength of 400-700 nm in an area having the bright coating layer is 20-70%.
