- 1 - Abstract: A cartridge for a magnetic recording tape is arranged to be located at a standard position in a tape player by means of at least one standard pin provided in the tape player. The cartridge has a pair of holes extending through the bottom part of the cartridge case and having a diameter significantly larger than that of the pin. A positioning device comprises a movable member biased to oppose the hole by means of a resilient member so that, when the pin is inserted into the hole it is clamped between the movable member and the inner wall of the hole to secure the cartridge in the correct position.
