Abstract of the Disclosure A magnetic rotation detector for detecting annular rotation and angular velocity is disclosed. The device comprises a rotary mounted drum having two or more peripheral magnetic tracks extending around the drum. each track is oppositely magnetized in a circumferential direction with respect to the adjacent tracks. Adjacent each track is a magnetoresistor which produces analog signals indicative of resistance change as the drum is rotated. All the magnetoresistors are connected to inputs of a rotary condition detector which produces signals indicative of angular rotation.
