A magnetic sealant liner applicator (10) used for applying sealant (43) to a plurality of metal lids (44). The applicator receives metal lids (44) from an infeed conveyor (60) and discharging the metal lids (44) with sealant (43) thereon to a discharge conveyor (64). The applicator includes a motor-driven starwheel (28) is mounted on top of a tabletop (12) and driven in one direction. The starwheel (28) has a plurality of cam followers (30) spaced apart and extending outwardly from its circumference. The cam followers (30) include cam follower bearings (32) adapted for receiving a portion of individual metal lids (44) thereagainst. A plurality of sealant guns (34) are mounted on the starwheel (28) and are under computer (38) control and disposed next to the cam followers (30). The sealant guns (34) apply the sealant (43) inside the metal lids (44). A motor-driven magnetic wheel (46) is mounted on top of the tabletop (12), disposed under the starwheel (28) and is driven in an opposite direction from the starwheel (28). A circumference if the magnetic wheel (46) is adapted for engaging a portion of the metal lids (44) as the metal lids (44) are spun on top of the tabletop (12).

Une pluralité de pistolets à produit d'étanchéité (34), montée sur la roue en étoile (28) au voisinage des galets de came (30), sont commandés par un ordinateur (38). Ces pistolets à produit d'étanchéité (34) appliquent le produit d'étanchéité (43) à l'intérieur des couvercles métalliques (44). Une roue magnétique entraînée par un moteur (46) est montée sur le dessus du plateau (12), en dessous de la roue en étoile (28). Elle tourne en sens inverse de la roue en étoile (28). Un pourtour de la roue magnétique (46) est conçu pour venir au contact d'une partie du couvercle métallique (44) lorsque les couvercles métalliques (44) subissent un moment angulaire sur le dessus du plateau (12).
