The particular object of the invention is an optionally circulating, fluidised bed reactor, for obtaining pure iron carbide from iron ore fines in a hydrogen- and methane-rich gaseous mixture. The reactor includes, at the extraction or recycling zones thereof, a device (1, 2) for magnetically separating from the mass in the fluidised bed, an iron carbide-rich phase and an iron carbide-depleted phase.

La présente invention vise particulièrement un réacteur à lit fluidisé, éventuellement circulant, permettant d'obtenir du carbure de fer pur, à partir de fines de minerai de fer dans un mélange gazeux riche en hydrogène et en méthane. Ce réacteur comporte au niveau de ses zones de soutirage ou de recyclage, un dispositif (1, 2) permettant de séparer par voie magnétique, de la masse en lit fluidisé, une phase riche et une phase pauvre en carbure de fer.
